The American Basketball League is pleased to announce the Palm Beach Barracudas as the latest team to join the league. Founder and CEO Brandon Williams said he “searched high and low” for the right league and the ABL is what he has been looking for, “and when I came across the ABL I just had to reach out,” he explained.
The first person Williams contacted was Carolina Gremlin’s General Manager Reggie Perry. Once Perry received the needed contact information, he reached out to ABL CEO Mac Claire.
“I remember Reggie calling me and saying that he knew of a guy in Florida who was interested in joining the league and to watch my phone for a text,” Claire recounted. “I called Brandon immediately and he absolutely blew me away with his passion and his understanding of the game.
“I can’t wait to see what he puts together in Palm Beach.”
